I'm not exactly sure what makes a California Pale Ale, a California Pale Ale. But I like it. It has a lighter color, with a lightly sweet aroma. I get a nice mixture of honey and hops. Taste is also rather light, but there is enough hops to give it a Pale Ale feel, but the honey sweetness keeps through to the end. Maybe California stands for sweetness?
